About Marlin's Raw Superfood for Pets

Ryder was born and raised in Sarasota, spending much of his time outdoors. Growing up in a family of Chiropractors, Ryder developed an appreciation for health and wellness from a young age. As he grew older, Ryder discovered that his passion for holistic health naturally aligned with his lifelong love of animals.

In 2019, Ryder graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a B.S. in Health Science. During his time at FGCU, he adopted an orange tabby cat, Rocky. Diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) as a kitten, Rocky required specialized care during his early years. Through this hands-on experience, Ryder witnessed firsthand the importance of supporting a healthy immune system and the profound impact a fresh, species-appropriate diet can have on an animal's health and development. Today, Rocky is thriving and a daily reminder of difference that proper nutrition can make.

Ryder joined his family at Marlin's after graduating and quickly became an integral part of the business. He is passionate about helping pet owners make informed decisions and believes that education and proper nutrition are the foundation of lifelong health for people and their four-legged family members. Outside of work, Ryder enjoys spending time on the water, staying active, and growing his faith.

Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Jess moved to Florida with her two daughters in 2016 to work at a well-known waterfront restaurant, where she remained until the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. During the pandemic, she used her newfound free time to adopt and train her first dog, Karma, and they spent countless days together at the local dog park.

One day, a fellow pet parent told Jess about a part-time position at Marlin's. She took it as a sign to leave the restaurant industry and pursue something new. After transitioning Karma to a raw, species-appropriate diet and seeing the benefits firsthand, Jess became passionate about pet nutrition and set out to learn everything she could.

What began as a part-time position quickly grew into a full-time career. Today, you can usually find Karma napping beneath Jess's desk, patiently waiting for the next visitor-or the next taste test-in his important role as Marlin's Chief Product Inspector.
